The Transitions Team offer all learners and trainees a work placement through its network of 150 local and national employers.

Opportunities available include administration, reception, retail, animal care, health and social care, catering and ground maintenance plus many more.

Work placements help to develop confidence, communication, social and work related skills. They provide preparation to go into employment, voluntary work or the community.

What employers say

imago Services has offered a range of placements over a number of years. Here’s what they say:

“At imago we believe that the adult programmes are an excellent way of introducing visually impaired people back into the workplace. It gives them the opportunity to experience a wide range of working environments and situations, and a chance to interact with a wide range of people from all types of backgrounds. All of these experiences combine to give them a solid grounding for entry into the job marketplace.

From a business perspectives the decision to offer placements to adult learners has also had its benefits. Learners who have been placed with us have always become useful and helpful members of our teams. Some of them have taken on special projects and have produced some wonderful results, always tackling the given tasks with diligence and enthusiasm.”

“Our organisation got involved to benefit learners and promote their ability to gain full-time employment”
