If you choose to learn on an in-house programme, these take place in the main RNIB College building and are delivered in small and supportive class sizes. Learners can study in-house on a day or a residential basis.

In-house programmes range from pre-entry level through to level 2. You will follow an individually tailored programme, which is appropriate to your needs. This means that you are doing things at College that you enjoy. You can progress at your own pace and have all the support that you need along the way.

The aim of all our in-house programmes is to get you to where you need to be in life, whether this be the next stage in your education, finding a job, or living independently.

From day one of your course we are thinking about what you will do when you leave.

I come to the RNIB College on a day basis and travel by taxi every day. I am in my second year and study cooking, gardening, money management, mobility, numeracy, literacy and skills for work. I have a work placement with the College premises team helping to maintain the College grounds. The RNIB College is really good, because you get to make lots of friends and everyone is really friendly.
