As part of their lessons learners run the College catering facility, known as the Bell Bar. This Bell Bar caters for both staff and learners which means it can get very busy at times. Learners working in this environment benefit from the experience of providing a much needed service. Daily tasks include preparing hot and cold food for lunches, serving drinks and meals, using the till, meeting and greeting visitors, setting tables and many more jobs associated with a catering environment.

Learners can practice their cookery skills and gain an understanding of healthy eating and nutrition. They are also interacting with customers on a regular basis developing communication and money handling skills.
