Christmas festivities have started at RNIB College. Students and staff teams excelled themselves in the annual Christmas tree competition, creating a whole host of handmade trees, including a Christmas mannequin and a giant snowman made from plastic cups!

As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, RNIB College Loughborough held a Big Brew fundraising event. Traidcraft Big Brew is a nationwide initiative to host an event to raise awareness of fair trade during Fairtrade Fortnight.

RNIB College Loughborough has been selected for Nationwide Building Society's charitable donation initiative, Community Match, which allows members to vote in-branch for which of three local charities they would like to receive a £500 donation.

On Thursday 26 March the College held an epilepsy awareness day. This was to coincide with 'Purple Day', a worldwide event designated to raising awareness of epilepsy; first set up in 2008.

Tuesday October 14th was Read for RNIB day at RNIB College Loughborough. The College went dotty for this year's theme of 'wear dots to raise lots'.

Did you know it was World Autism Day on Wednesday 2 April? Students and staff at RNIB College Loughborough came in unusual attire in support of "Onesie Wednesday", a National Autistic Society initiative which coincided with World Autism Day.

Students organised a cake sale raising money to support the vital work of Rainbows Hospice, the East Midlands' Hospice for Children and Young people. The Hospice is a place where life-limited children and their families can find care and support.
